First, I would like to give a pat on the back to Chris and myself for making it through the first year. I know birthday's are in place to celebrate the person who was born on that day, but I think they should also be a day of celebration for the parents. We made it to year 1! We can do anything!
It was a fun day for all of us. We have started the tradition of carrying in big balloons and singing "Happy Birthday" to him when he awoke in the morning. Then we went to Gymboree play and music class, did some shopping in Reno and came home. We had dinner and cake and called it a night. A great day was had by all!
This past year has been an adventure that we will treasure forever. We thank God every day for our healthy, beautiful son.
